At SDTA, we research the systems that shape life for California's self-advocates and families, and we publish what we find.

Some content is presented as a searchable databases used as reference tools. Some of our research is analysis tied to a specific policy moment, like our review of DDS's proposed "cost-effective" definition and the record of what the community said about it in two DDS webinars. Some of our research content is about listening to the community we serve.  Our quarterly reports on what families are telling us directly, and research on what builds trust between families and the agencies that serve them are examples.

All research draws on the following elements:

• Information that's publicly available 
• Feedback we hear from the community
• Facts we can source and reference
